Connecting Social Channels

Link your social accounts so you can publish content straight from AEO.

The Connections page is where you link your social media accounts to AEO. Once a channel is connected, you can push generated content to it with Share to Social, no copy-pasting between tabs. Open it from the sidebar at Settings → Connections.

Available Channels

We are rolling channels out gradually. You can connect these today; the rest are on the way and appear with a Soon badge.

  • Available now: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn (both personal profiles and company pages).
  • Coming soon: X, Threads, Zalo, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Medium, WordPress, Blogger, Slack, and Wikipedia.

Managing Connected Accounts

Each connected account shows its live status and how recently it published. AEO watches the access token the platform gave us and warns you before it lapses.

StatusWhat it means
ConnectedThe account is healthy and ready to publish.
Expires in N daysThe platform token is about to lapse. Click the channel tile again to re-authorize and refresh it before it stops working.
Token expiredPublishing is paused for that account until you reconnect. Re-authorize from the same tile to restore it.
DisconnectUse the trash icon on an account row. You can reconnect anytime by re-authorizing, but you will need to grant permissions again.

Posting Limits

Every platform has its own healthy posting rate, and AEO protects your account by spacing posts out and capping how many go live per day. Each connected account shows a quota bar with how many posts it has used today. When you're near the limit, AEO tells you when the next post can safely go out. This keeps your accounts from being flagged for spammy behavior.

Publishing Queue & Recent Activity

Below your channels, the Connections page tracks what is happening with your posts. The Publishing Queue lists posts waiting to go out (and any that failed, with the error), while Recent Activity shows everything that has already been published.

1

Open Connections

Go to Settings → Connections from the sidebar. The Channels section at the top shows every platform as a tile, each with a Connected or Not connected status.

2

Pick a channel

Click the tile for the platform you want to link: Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn (personal profile or company page). Tiles marked Soon are not available yet; clicking one just tells you it is coming soon.

3

Authorize the connection

You'll be redirected to the platform's own login and permission screen. Sign in to the account you want to post from and approve the requested permissions. AEO never sees your password. It receives a secure access token from the platform.

For Facebook and Instagram, connect the account that manages the Page or business profile you want to post to, otherwise the target Page may not appear.

4

Confirm it connected

After you approve, the platform sends you back to AEO and the new account appears under Connected accounts with a green Connected status. That account is now ready to publish to.

5

Publish to it

Open any finished article or social post from your Content Library and use Share to Social to push it to the connected channel. Published posts show up under Recent Activity on the Connections page.

Connect the account you actually want to post from. For a brand Page, log in with the profile that manages it during the authorization step.

If publishing suddenly stops, check the account status first. An expired token is the most common cause and is fixed by re-authorizing the channel.
